February 3rd, 2025, marked a significant milestone for United Animal Health, headquartered in Sheridan, IN, as they successfully transitioned to BESTMIX ERP, BESTMIX Recipe Management, and BESTMIX QC. This complex digital transformation was executed seamlessly, ensuring uninterrupted operations and a bright future of enhanced efficiency and integration.
"No business ever migrates its entire operations to a new software platform without some challenges," said Rick Whitham, Director of Enterprise Business Systems at United Animal Health. "But because BESTMIX had so thoroughly prepared us throughout the journey, we converted over one weekend and did not miss any customer deliveries.”
A Well-Planned and Supported Transition
The go-live process was meticulously managed with on-site support from BESTMIX consultants, who provided expertise across every module. Their dedication ensured minimal impact on daily operations, allowing United Animal Health to continue serving customers without disruption. "BESTMIX staff provided live support for our users at each of our four manufacturing locations across Indiana, Iowa, and Illinois," Whitham noted.
Since September 2023, United Animal Health and BESTMIX teams have collaborated closely to implement a fully integrated solution, connecting ERP with Recipe Management and Quality Control. This partnership laid the groundwork for enhanced operational efficiency and a more connected business ecosystem.

- Finance and Operations Enhancements: Bank integration using Epay for customer payments, advanced production planning (MRP), logistics management, warehouse tracking, and batch traceability.
- Weighbridge Integration: Enhancing automation at one plant for precise tracking.
